Game Availability in Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut
If you live in the portion that is tri-coloured red, orange and grey, you fall within one of the most unique broadcast territories in Canada. Technically, the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets are all your local team.
Since Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE is an out-of-market product, this means that with a subscription, you are blacked out from viewing the “home” team in any given market. To simplify, if you live within the red, orange and grey area, encompassing Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, you will be blacked out from watching regional Flames, Oilers and Jets games.
You would, however, get all national games for all three teams—37 Flames games, 37 Oilers games and 22 Jets games. National games are ones that can be viewed by everybody from coast to coast on programs such as Hockey Night in Canada, Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey and Rogers Hometown Hockey.
Aside from national Jets, Flames and Oilers games, you would also get over 1,000 national and out-of-market games from around the NHL (including the All-Star Game, all outdoor games and regional games for other teams), as well as the entire 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
